Any way you ride - even if you drive and park - the Commuter Benefits Program can save you money on your way to work. There are no fees and there is no open enrollment period - you can sign up, make changes or cancel your participation at any time. This is one money-saving program you shouldn't let pass by. Sign up now and jump on board for savings and convenience.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Save

Saving is simple. Just go online, choose your transit pass, parking provider, or both, and the rest is automatic. All it takes is a quick online order to get your transit pass delivered to your home every month and set up direct parking payments.

Most people save from $500 to $1,500 every year, depending on their commuting expenses and tax situation. Use it for:

	Bus, light rail, regional rail, streetcar, trolley, subway, or ferry
	Vanpool
	Parking at or near work
	Parking at or near public transportation for your commute

How It Works

You place your order based on how you currently get to work and then we fulfill your order (mail you a pass, send parking payment or whatever's appropriate for your commute) just prior to the beginning of the month.

Your employer deducts the cost from your paycheck each month. The commuting costs that are deducted pre-tax from you paycheck reduces the amount of earnings on which you have to pay taxes. (See How You Save to learn more.)

No Lines. No Wait. No Hassles.

The savings are great. But for some people, the sheer convenience of home delivery is the best thing about the program. Once you start getting your transit pass or tickets in the mail, you may never again have to:

	Remember to buy your pass every month
	Go out of your way to find a vendor and stand in line

Set It, Forget It

Once you choose "Every Month" for your Commuter order, you'll automatically receive the same benefit every month until you change or cancel it. The same cutoff date for orders applies to changes or cancellations, so plan ahead. Check your monthly reminder emails for deadlines. Remember, it's up to you to make changes through WageWorks - your transit or parking provider cannot notify us if you stop parking or riding.

Rolling Deadlines

The deadline for making changes or canceling is the same as the monthly cutoff date for placing an order set by your employer. To confirm your program's deadline, log in to your WageWorks account, or check your order confirmation or monthly reminder emails.

Merges, Detours, Bumps in the Road?

Your Commuter Benefits program is built to work wherever you do, with any transit system and virtually any parking provider or vanpool, nationwide. So if your commuting needs change - a move, new office, or maybe a vacation - simply log in and change your order to keep up with them.

If you're going to be away from work for a while, you can even skip a month (or more). Just cancel your monthly order by your Employer's deadline before you leave, then sign up again when you expect to return. You won't lose your eligibility or your login information.

Changing Directions Along the Way

It's easy to make a change. Log in to your Commuter Benefits account at www.wageworks.com, then:

	Choose "Modify or Cancel Commuter Order" from the menu, or select the listing for the order itself.
	To cancel, just click the "Cancel" button.
	To change details such as amount, frequency, or mailing address, follow the instructions and place your order.
	To change to a different type of pass or parking provider, cancel your order and start over with a new one.

Unlimited Convenience

There is a limit to how much you can save through this program: For 2010, the IRS rules that govern the program allow a tax-free maximum of $230 for transit and $230 per month for parking expenses.

However, there's no limit to the convenience you can enjoy. If your commuting costs exceed this amount, the program draws the extra funds from your after-tax pay - so you can still get all the benefits of home pass delivery and/or automatic parking payments.
